A little about me and my family !
Hello! My name is Jason Gabbard. I grew up in New Lexington Ohio. I have been hunting since I was 12 yrs. old. Growing up watching my Uncles and Grandfather go on their huntings trips and coming back with all kinds of stories, I knew that's what I wanted to do. I started hunting deer with a bow at the age of 13. Didn't shoot my first deer until almost 5 years later. I owe alot to my uncle Scott. He is the one who taught me alot about hunting. I guess you could say I idolized him while growing up.
I got into rabbit hunting and beagles in the spring of 2005. A good friend of mine invited me to come watch his dogs run. I was hesitant at first because it was out of season and I thought "what fun would that be if you can't shoot them". Finally I gave in. From the first bark that day I was hooked. The very next weekend I owned my first beagle pup. Now I really don't care if I shoot them or not. Love to listen to a good chase.
I now live in Frazeysburg, Ohio with my wife Trudy and 2 sons Caleb and Kyler. I also have a stepson Kane. I am a member of The Meadowview Church of Christ. If wasn't for my Lord and Savior Jesus christ I wouldn't have what I have today.
I truely enjoy just running dogs with great friends. I have trialed a little and hope to do it a little more in the coming year. But most of all I enjoy meeting new friends and creating lasting memories.
